WHY HEALING ISN’T LINEAR

True healing is a dance of ups and downs, pauses, and breakthroughs. Consider this your permission slip to take all the time you need.
We often hold a picture-perfect image of healing as a straight line — a simple journey from pain to peace in one smooth, upward direction. But the reality of the human heart is far more nuanced. Real healing is a spiral, not a straight line. One day you may feel strong, clear, and on top of the world, and the next, old feelings or familiar patterns might surface again, inviting you to look closer.
This reappearance isn't a sign that you're failing or moving backward. It’s a testament to your humanity. Healing is like peeling back the delicate layers of an onion — sometimes slowly and methodically, sometimes in a sudden, emotional rush. Some moments will bring profound relief, a feeling of lightness and freedom. Others will bring deep reflection, asking you to sit with discomfort. Both are valid. Both are essential parts of your progress.
So, be radically gentle with yourself. Your pace is not just "okay" — it’s the exact rhythm your soul needs. Every tear you shed, every pause you take to catch your breath, and every conscious inhale is a sacred part of your growth.
Keep going, not because you have to be perfect, but because you are worthy of this journey. You’re not starting over from scratch; you’re starting from a place of deeper wisdom.
